Character Optimizer

Each kart and character has their own (semi)-unique set of values deeper than the in-game stat screen leads you to believe. For example, the Fin Twin outspeeds the Baby Blooper on Water! However, Water is much less common than other terrain types, excluding water-based vehicles from the meta of Random maps. By picking the Tune Thumper, you'd gain Road Speed and Acceleration over the Fin Twin. If these are the most valuable stats, a Fin Twin combo will ALWAYS be outclassed by the Tune Thumper wiith the same character. Use this tool to select your build, the 2 stats you value the most, and see if you're secretly being outclassed--either way, the tool will provide other potential options (e.g. characters with a bit more of Stat 1 but a bit less of Stat 2).
